TENDER ANNOUNCEMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Bozeman, MT is soliciting separate sealed bids for:
STORY MILL
COMMUNITY PARK
EAST PARKING
Separate sealed bids for the construction of the City of Bozeman Story Mill Community Park East Parking Lot will be received by the City Clerk at City Hall, 121 North Rouse Avenue, Suite 202, PO Box 1230, Bozeman, Montana 59771-1230 until 3:00 pm (local time) on Thursday, July 18, 2024 and then publicly opened and read aloud.
The project generally includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Construction of a 104-space parking lot including 2 access roads, stormwater retention, road connections, biological drainage and sidewalk routing, landscaping, signage and striping as shown in MOD 24034 application approved by Story Mill Park.
Please write the name of the project on the front of the sealed bid.

There will be an optional pre-bid conference on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 3:30 pm at the Stahly Engineering office located at 851 Bridger Drive, Suite 1.
Bids must be received by 3 pm on Thursday, July 18, 2024. An original must be submitted; Bids sent by fax or electronically will not be accepted. Offers will be opened and read once closed.
CONTRACTOR and any of CONTRACTOR’s subcontractors bidding or performing work on this project must be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Registration forms are available at DLI, PO Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Registration information can be obtained by calling (406) 444-7734. The CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding for this project, but must have registered prior to the execution of the Construction Agreement. All laborers and mechanics employed by CONTRACTOR or subcontractors in the performance of construction work shall be paid wages at such rates as may be required by the laws of Gallatin County and the State of Montana. The City of Bozeman is an equal opportunity employer. Discrimination is prohibited in the performance of any contract awarded under this project on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin or sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability. This prohibition will apply to the hiring and treatment of employees of the contracting entity and to all subcontracts.
As such, each entity submitting its application under this notice must include a provision in which the submitting entity or entities affirm in writing that it will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, marital status, national origin or actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability and also recognize that the final contract will contain a provision prohibiting discrimination as described above and that this prohibition of discrimination will apply to the hiring and treatment of employees. employees of the entity submitting the request and all subcontracts.
Additionally, pursuant to City Commission Resolution 5169, the entity awarded a contract under this RFQ and any subcontractor must comply with the Equal Pay Act of 1963 and Section 39-3-104, MCA (the of Montana Equal Pay), and affirm it. will comply with the above and that you have visited the State of Montana Equal Pay for Equal Work “best practices” website, or an equivalent “best practices” publication and have read the material.
Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Bid Guarantee payable to the City of Bozeman, Montana, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid amount. Winning BIDDERS must submit an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The selected BIDDER must provide the required insurance and a certificate of that insurance must be provided.
No offer may be withdrawn after the time scheduled for the public opening of offers.
The City of Bozeman reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest, most responsible offer that is in the best interest of the City of Bozeman.
