The names of those arrested were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty by a court. The Arkadelphian doesn’t hide names in the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Donald Ray Williams, 58, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Cox Mobile Manor, 3027 Pine St. #44, for third-degree domestic assault following a report of abuse of a woman.

Officers were summoned to Atwood’s for a theft report. A customer reportedly stole a pair of lithium power tool batteries valued at $279 from a store. The suspect, identified as a white male, ran past the registers and climbed into the passenger side of a blue 2000-2001 Ford F-150 extended cab that fled east.

Verbal abuse was reported towards a resident at Twin Rivers Health & Rehab, 3021 Twin Rivers Dr. The accused employee was noted to be on administrative leave for a separate incident under internal investigation.

A Carpenter Hill Apartments woman reported being the victim of harassing communications from a person she knew. She was informed about the deposition procedures and that she would contact the prosecutor.

The manager of the Beehive thrift store reported that a review of security footage showed a white man and woman stealing unknown items from the rear donation dock in the predawn hours of May 27 and 29. The suspects left in what appeared to be a maroon sedan.

A Creekwood Drive resident reported that a known suspect stole her vehicle’s license plates.

A Gresham Street woman reported that she came home from work to find her garage door ajar. An officer could not find any evidence of forced entry and nothing appeared to be missing.

Danny N. Wilson, 47, of Arkadelphia, was cited at Walmart for theft of property following a store complaint from a customer who attempted to leave without paying for a vehicle battery.
Saturday 1 June
Police investigated a vehicle that broke into or entered the 1800 block of Sylvia Street. No further details were available as the Arkadelphia Police Department withholds information contained in serious crime reports.

Shanekqua Mechelle Sonnier, 19, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at Carpenter Hill Apartments for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, public intoxication and obstructing government operations. Officers were called to the apartment complex for a disturbance and upon arrival discovered an aggressive Sonnier wielding a bottle of liquor. During the arrest, Sonnier was shot with a Taser in the back outside the apartment.
Sunday June 2
1:20 a.m.
Zane Alexander Rosewell, 21, of Arkadelphia, was arrested at a location on North 13th Street for DWI and leaving the scene of an accident. A caller had reported a crash to police near 12th and Richardson Streets, and upon arriving at the Rosewell location observed a black Nissan Frontier emitting smoke from the hood, with extensive damage to the front of the vehicle and on the front passenger wheel “barely” attached.

Tyran One Jackson, 39, of Arkadelphia, was cited at Walmart for theft of property following a report at the store of a shoplifter who hid groceries in a backpack and left through the garden center.

Latasia Locole Williams, 35, was cited at 12th and Haddock streets for driving with a suspended license. Police were initially called to a South 11th Street residence for a report of a woman causing damage to a parked vehicle, and were directed to the area where that person fled. The damaged vehicle had a flat tire and a broken windshield, and pieces of cinder blocks were discovered nearby. Williams denied involvement in the damage to the vehicle, which belongs to an ex.
Police investigated a hit-and-run accident involving death or physical injury in the 3000 block of Pine Street. Additional details are not included as serious crime reports are not available for public inspection at the Arkadelphia Police Department.

A traveler on Interstate 30 in Lafayette, Indiana, reported that his vehicle was damaged when a brick fell from the trailer of another vehicle. The other driver reportedly offered the traveler $200 for damage to the driver’s front side, which an officer described as “significant.” However, the other driver, speaking with the officer, denied that the brick could have fallen from his trailer.

A man from Bobo Road, Okolona, reported the theft of a 26-foot brown and tan 2016 Forrest River camper. The complainant said the camper had been stolen sometime last week.
