McALLEN, TEXAS (border report) — The FBI is seeking information about a South Texas mother and daughter who disappeared in the northern Mexican border state of Nuevo León.

Jessica García Rojo, 17, and her mother, Juana Marcela Rojo, 55, were last heard from on May 15 when they crossed from Laredo, Texas, to Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, around 9 p.m. Its last known location was near Monterrey, Mexico. in the state of Nuevo León, FBI officials said.

They were driving a white Dodge Caravan with New Mexico license plate 609 XBC when they disappeared.
Jessica has brown hair and brown eyes, is 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs 158 pounds. Juana is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 210 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. Jessica has ties to the region and is bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. Juana speaks primarily Spanish, the FBI says.

“Although the whereabouts of the women are currently unknown, investigators believe they are still in Mexico. “The public is urged to call,” FBI officials said.
