BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) – Bismarck Larks and Farmer’s Union Insurance are teaming up to host the eighth annual Jersey Giveaway on Wednesday, June 26, while also supporting ND communities through a massive food drive.
Beginning at 8:00 am on Wednesday, June 26, the drawing will take place in the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark parking lot. Fans who bring three non-perishable food items to the event will be eligible to receive a free Larks t-shirt. It is recommended to arrive early as t-shirts will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
Since the beginning of the Larks Jersey Giveaway partnership, Farmer’s Union Insurance has sponsored food drives throughout North Dakota and worked with the Minot Minotauros, Badlands Big Sticks and other sporting groups. All donations raised through this campaign will directly benefit families and individuals in Bismarck and North Dakota as a whole through the Great Plains Food Bank.

During last year’s event, the Larks collected more than 2,650 pounds of food. The Great Plains Food Bank, in turn, received a total of 13,416,615 pounds in 2023, generating 11,180,512 meals for those in need.
“The Jersey Giveaway event is bigger than just taking home Larks apparel,” said Rob Williamson, Larks Chief Experience Officer. “It is the largest and fastest food drive held each year in the state of North Dakota. With 1,000 free t-shirts to give out in exchange for three canned goods, we hope to donate over 3,000 items again with the help of our amazing Larks fans here in the Bismarck-Mandan community and beyond.”
