SECAUCUS, N.J. — Released by Secaucus Police, all arrests from the past week:
On 06/18/2024 at 2:42 pm, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take custody of a 35-year-old woman, Alicia Hurtado of North Plainfield, New Jersey, for 1 arrest warrant. pending issued in Secaucus, New Jersey in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Hurtado was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/18/2024 at 5:04 pm, Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot for a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, police arrested a 24-year-old man, Marlon Bermudez-Menas of Prospect Heights, IL, for shoplifting (2C:20-11B(1)). Mr. Bermudez Menas was found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued in Springfield, Illinois with no bail. Mr. Bermúdez Menas was also accused of being a fugitive from justice (2A:160-10). Mr. Bermudez-Menas was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 06/19/2024 at 4:36 pm, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old man, Jerome Harris of Irvington, New Jersey, for 1 outstanding warrant issued in Hillside, New Jersey. Jersey for an amount of $2,500.00. Hillside released Mr. Harris on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Harris was issued two motor vehicle summonses and released from police custody.
On 06/19/2024 at 9:17 pm, Bergen County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and transported a 36-year-old woman, Gabriela Acosta of Paramus, New Jersey, by 1 pending order issued from Secaucus, New Jersey. for the amount of $750.00. It was also discovered that Ms. Acosta had 1 outstanding warrant issued in Teaneck, New Jersey in the amount of $1,000.00. Teaneck released Ms. Acosta on her own recognizance pending a future court date. Ms. Acosta was able to post bail on the warrant issued in Secaucus, New Jersey and was released from police custody.
On 06/21/2024 at 3:42 pm, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old man, Kiyaun Hansford of Paterson, New Jersey, for receiving stolen property, a license plate (2C :20 7A). and Hindering apprehension (2C:29-3B(4)) by providing false information to the police. Mr. Hansford was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued in Clifton, New Jersey in the amount of $1,000.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued in Paterson, New Jersey in the amount of $750.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued in Haledon, New Jersey in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued from Allamuchy, New Jersey in the amount of $650.00. Mr. Hansford was also charged with Theft (2C:20-3A) in connection with the theft of an electric dirt bike that occurred on 05/19/2024 in the area of Mainsail Lane. Police also arrested a 23-year-old woman, Anyssa Carmona of Paterson, New Jersey, for receiving stolen property, a license plate (2C:20-7A). Ms. Carmona was additionally charged with Theft of Services (2C:20-8A) in connection with an incident that took place at Fuel 4 located at 445 Route 3 East on 06/20/2024. During this incident it was found that Mrs. Carmona did not pay for the fuel she received for her vehicle. Mr. Hansford was served with 2 complaint warrants along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. Ms. Carmona was issued 2 complaint citations along with 8 motor vehicle citations and was released from police custody.
On 06/23/2024 at 1:38 pm, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious individual in the area of 55 Meadowlands Parkway throwing rocks toward the Hudson Regional Hospital parking lot. During the investigation, police arrested a 47-year-old man, Sava Boric of Secaucus, New Jersey, for 1 outstanding warrant issued in Secaucus, New Jersey in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Boric was unable to post bail due to the warrant involved and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
