Efforts to bring the Kansas City Chiefs across state lines to Kansas took another turn Tuesday. Launched by Scoop and Score, Inc., a new website encourages Kansans to support the STAR bond package to bring the Chiefs to the Sunflower State. The site’s front page includes renderings of a new stadium in Kansas City, Kansas, that were produced by Kansas City-based Manica. It also presents “myths and facts” about the proposal. The page also has a link to a petition encouraging residents to contact state legislators. Documents from the Kansas Secretary of State’s Office show that Scoop and Score, Inc. was created on May 13, 2024. Records also show that several lobbyists are involved with the group, including the former Speaker of the House of Representatives of Kansas, Ron Ryckman.—-Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson and Kansas House Speaker Dan Hawkins issued a joint statement regarding the Chiefs’ possible move to Kansas: “The rich Chiefs tradition and history are loved throughout the Kansas City region and throughout Kansas.
