Massachusetts has many great restaurants throughout the state that are solid places to dine for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. But what happens when you want to squeeze in that other meal between breakfast and lunch? Of course, that would be brunch. It turns out that Massachusetts is home to some of the best lunch spots in the United States.
Recently, the popular food publication ‘Open Table’ released their list of the 100 Best Lunch Places in America for 2024. We were lucky to be in the Bay State since it is one of the few states that has six or more of these places that They are among the best in the country to go to lunch. So where exactly are these lunch spots?
Which Massachusetts restaurants are among America’s best for brunch?
- Brassica Kitchen – Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA
In the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston, this place is known for its many dishes, as well as its homemade donuts. But their brunch menu includes chilaquiles (duck and pork chorizo), BK Omelet, and BK Chicken & Waffles; mimosas and bloody marys will flow to accompany your meal at this unique restaurant.
- Ledger Restaurant and Bar – Salem, Massachusetts
This restaurant in historic downtown Salem offers a brunch menu that includes Pastrami Hash and Sweet Potato Hash, along with their most expensive item, the Brandt Flat Iron Steak and Eggs, which I can only imagine is not something that’s easy to finish in one go. . They also have a variety of Mimosas including a Mystery Mimosa. The fact that the title contains ‘mystery’ is very intriguing!
- Moonlight 152 Boston, Massachusetts
More than 1,600 reviewers have given the Boston brunch spot 4.9 (out of 5) stars. Not only are there Jello Shots on their brunch menu for drinks, but they also have something called Ron Swanson Brunch Inspired Chipotle Pulled Pork Scallion Pancake Quesadilla. How can you not order that considering it sounds like what Ron Swanson from ‘Parks & Rec would devour?
- Prima Italian Restaurant – Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA
This brunch spot has an extensive menu as Prima is located in the Charlestown neighborhood of Boston. Their brunch menu also includes brunch pizza and calzone. Check out their brunch menu here.
- Silver Dove Afternoon Tea – Boston, Massachusetts
The entire menu at this downtown Boston spot is completely gluten-free and consists of all the sandwiches, savory hors d’oeuvres, scones and pastries you can ever try.
Another brunch spot in Charlestown that’s open all week for brunch! From breakfast burritos to wraps and sandwiches, their brunch menu has a little bit of everything, including an extensive drink menu.
And there it is, Massachusetts! Sure, you might have to take a road trip east for any of these lunch spots. But keep in mind that they are among the best in the country!
