LOOK: Here are the 50 best coastal towns in America
Every coastal city has its advantages and disadvantages, which got us thinking about what makes a coastal city the best to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted WalletHub data, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. coastal cities. The ratings are based on six categories: affordability, climate, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. Cities had a population of between 10,000 and 150,000, but had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we select the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will not be surprised to learn that many of the cities featured here are located in one of those two states.
Read on to see if your favorite beach town passed the test.
