The moment two armed thugs brazenly stole a family’s car from their own front garden while the girls were in the back seat.
Heather Allen and her family were ambushed while it was still daylight at their home in West Jackson, Mississippi.
The family was about to leave when, around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, a shirtless robber and his accomplice ran onto the grass and fired a warning shot into the air.
Allen and one of his sons were outside the car and hid behind it, waving their keys as they scurried away to keep the car between them and the thieves.

The shirtless man opened one of the back doors and pulled Allen’s daughter out of the car while demanding the keys.
Allen’s other son and two very young granddaughters were still in the car when one of the thieves climbed inside.
“They kept yelling, ‘Give me the keys, give me the keys.'” My daughter said, ‘My babies, my babies are in the car,'” Allen told WKeynoteUSAT.
“He (one of the car thieves) jumps in the driver’s seat, I’m outside looking in and he points a gun in my oldest son’s face.”
Allen’s son jumped out of the car and she went to the other side of the car to open the back door and pick up her granddaughters while her sons took them away.

The thieves seemed frustrated with the situation and managed to start the car, a black Mazda sedan.
Allen decided to resolve the situation by throwing his own keys on the ground so they could take his car.
Their tactic worked and the car thieves stole the silver hatchback and sped off the grass and onto the street.
‘I’m not sleeping. My oldest son has anxiety through the roof, he is even afraid. “My daughter is in shock, but they are safe,” Allen said.
She said her family was staying out of town and that the entire family was making plans to leave Jackson after moving just three months ago.
One of the suspects in a photograph released by police as they chased car thieves, Allen decided to resolve the situation by throwing his own keys on the ground so he could take his car, which they took and drove away in his silver hatchback (pictured) . )
The thieves barely used the vehicle, since it was found by the police just 40 minutes later, two blocks from his house. He is being checked for fingerprints.
Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said two suspects, one of whose photos have been released, have been identified but have not yet been arrested.
“I had the opportunity to watch the video of Ms. Allen and her family being robbed and kidnapped in their driveway,” he said.
“It was extremely disturbing to me. It was very concerning to me because a threat to them and their family is a threat to everyone.”
