The Georgia Bulldogs will face Georgia Tech in the regional final in Athens. Here are live scoring updates as they happen.
The Georgia Bulldogs are set for a big battle with their in-state rivals, the Georgia Tech Yellowjackets, at 6 p.m. If the Dawgs are victorious in tonight’s game, they will advance to the NCAA Super Regional, a feat they have not accomplished in more than 15 years. If Georgia Tech wins, the two teams will meet tomorrow afternoon in a winner-take-all matchup to see who advances.
The winner of the Athens regional will play the winner of the Raleigh, North Carolina regional, where host NC State plays James Madison on Sunday night at 6 p.m.
First inning: Georgia starts hot in the top of the First, but Tech responds (2-1)
Above: The Dawgs opened the contest with three straight singles and are first on the board in this contest. (1-0). A fielder’s choice off the bat of Slate Alford scores the second run in the inning. (2-0) Tre Phelps reaches base with an infield hit with one out. D. Carter strikes out, followed by Slate Alford who is hit at third after a baseball bounces toward Tech’s catcher.
Below: Zach Harris gets his sixth start of the season for the Dawgs in this contest. A line drive from C. Jones to S. Alford at second base records the first out. D. Burress hits a two-strike triple down the left field line. An RBI single by M. Ellis scores Burress from third (2-1). Harris shows some courage and strikes out the next two batters.
Second inning: Dawgs held scoreless, Georgia Tech explodes thanks to a three-run home run. (2-5)

Fourth inning: Another scoreless, hitless inning in the 4th. (2-5)

Fifth inning: Charlie Condon drives in a run and Tech remains scoreless (3-5)

Seventh inning: Padysak gets life out of the pin, another scoreless (3-5)
Above: Branches to left field for the first out of the inning. Corey Collins walks four straight to bring up Charlie Condon, but not before a pitching change. Condon walked on five pitches to bring up Dillon Goldstein with runners on first and second with one out. Corey Collins scores and moves to third on Goldstein’s fly ball. Alford comes out for the third out, stranding two.
Below: Q, Padysak is in contention for the Bulldogs and walks Tech’s leadoff hitter. Padysak strikes out Zmarziak for the first out of the inning. Becchetti strikes out looking for the second K in a row for Padysak. A third consecutive strike ends the seventh for Georgia.
Eighth inning: Phelps jumps on a fastball for a solo shot (4-5)
Above: Tre Phelps throws the first pitch of the inning over the left field wall. (5-4) Q. Toetz will now be the Bulldogs’ pinch hitter and will go out to first base. Gonzalez grounded out for the second out of the inning, bringing up Chadwick, who popped to right field for the third out.
Bottom: Padysak records two quick outs to start the bottom of the eighth inning. A fly ball ends the eighth.
Ninth inning: Kolby Branch ties the game with a swing. (5-5)
Above: Kolby Branch hits a game-tying home run in the ninth. (5-5) A pitching change brings D. Brown to the mound for Tech. Corey Collins jumps to third base and brings in Charlie Condon, who is intentionally walked. Goldstein strikes out looking followed by a groundout by Slate Alford.
