A man has been arrested for driving under the influence in Green County, Kentucky, after a crash that killed a man Friday night, according to Kentucky State Police. Around 8:30 EDT, KSP officers responded to a two-vehicle collision on West Buckner Hill Road in Green County. KSP said its preliminary investigation shows that Larry Waters, 49, of Greensburg, was traveling west on the highway when he approached a Jeep Wrangler that was heading east. Waters’ vehicle crossed into the left lane as he approached the Jeep and, in an attempt to avoid impact, KSP said he veered onto a dirt embankment on the right shoulder. The two vehicles still sideswiped each other and Waters’ vehicle overturned. A passenger in the Jeep, 28-year-old Blake Mitchell was injured and taken to UofL Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The driver of the Jeep was also taken to UofL Hospital to receive treatment for his serious injuries. His condition has not been revealed at this time. Two other passengers in the Jeep refused medical treatment at the scene. Waters also refused treatment and was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence, vehicular manslaughter, first-degree assault and wanton endangerment. He is being held at the Taylor County Detention Center.

KSP said its preliminary investigation shows that Larry Waters, 49, of Greensburg, was traveling west on the highway when he approached a Jeep Wrangler that was heading east.
Waters’ vehicle crossed into the left lane as he approached the Jeep, and in an attempt to avoid impact, KSP said he turned onto a dirt embankment on the right shoulder.
The two vehicles still collided with each other and Waters’ vehicle overturned.
A passenger in the Jeep, Blake Mitchell, 28, was injured and taken to UofL Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the Jeep was also taken to UofL Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. His condition has not been revealed at this time.
Two other passengers in the jeep refused medical treatment at the scene.
Waters also refused treatment and was arrested at the scene and charged with driving under the influence, vehicular manslaughter, first-degree assault and wanton endangerment.
