Supreme Court unanimously preserves access to widely used abortion drugs
On Thursday, the Supreme Court voted unanimously to maintain access to mifepristone, an abortion drug widely used in the United States.
Abortion opponents questioned the federal Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the drug. All nine judges agreed that the plaintiffs lacked legal standing to sue.
This case could have restricted access to mifepristone, even in states where abortion is legal. This is the Supreme Court’s first ruling on abortion since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in 2022.
Central Missouri Food Pantries Fight Rising Food Costs

This time last year, families at the food pantry could take four to six items from each selection area. They are now limited to just two, and sometimes even just one item, for certain foods.
Serve Inc. in Fulton is experiencing similar struggles. To donate to Help Center Inc in Mexico or Serve Inc. in Fulton, visit their websites.
