In steer wrestling, Ty Neal didn’t have a time better than five seconds all week and kept that pace with a time of 4.21 to win the state title.
“Guys there who kicked ass all the time, and you’re so close to making it, but you know, you finally get there and the work was worth it,” Neal shared.
The escape rope fell to the last two ladies of the short round. Avery Foegelle initially took the lead with a run of 2.67, but Kate Reynolds claimed first place by completing the round in 2.26 seconds.
