The Montana Museum of the Rockies is for everyone! Check it out
The Museum of the Rocky Mountains is located right next to Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman. The Museum is part of the American Alliance of Museums, meaning the Museum of the Rocky Mountains is one of 1,095 museums to hold this distinction. With more than 33,000 museums across the country, this is quite an achievement. The Museum of the Rocky Mountains is also part of the Montana Dinosaur Trail. What’s that? It is a trail that runs through the state of Montana and has 14 locations. Each location will bring you a little closer to the history and knowledge of dinosaurs. The Museum of the Rocky Mountains has current and rotating exhibits. Currently (December 2021) these are some of my favorites that are on display: Siebel Dinosaur Complex, Welcome to Yellowstone Country that delves into the history of Montana, Exhibition of lasting towns highlighting the American Indians of Montana, and the Paugh Exposition, illuminating the stories that connect us to the Northern Colorado Rockies. You can see all the exhibits here to make your trip planning easier. The Museum of the Rocky Mountains is an independent 501 nonprofit organization here in Bozeman. That being said, they offer some of the most exquisite benefits all year round. This gives the museum the opportunity to remain a highlight for the city of Bozeman. Another way to continue the success of the Museum of the Rocky Mountains is to become a member. If you are considering making a donation to the Museum of the Rocky Mountains, you can check it out here and decide which program works best for you. Help Bozeman keep this amazing learning tool open and available to everyone. Enjoy your time at the Museum of the Rocky Mountains.
