SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Some California cities are experiencing rapid supply movement and growing demand when it comes to the real estate market, according to a popular real estate site.
In fact, 19 cities in the Golden State are on Realtor.com’s list of “Hottest Real Estate Markets” in 2024.
The rankings are based on “exclusive information on buyer activity and the most comprehensive data on active inventory,” the site explained. The analysis also “breaks down supply and demand dynamics to rank metro areas, counties and ZIP codes relative to the rest of the country.”
To further explain the methodology, Realtor.com examines listing views by markets as an indicator of demand and median days on market as an indicator of supply. A total of 300 cities were listed.
